Athens Victorian Stroll: December 10: This free event offers fun for the entire family. There will be contemporary art and performances galore interspersed with nods to our Victorian past. While there will be roving carolers dressed in Victorian garb, a resplendent Victorian Santa and horse drawn trolleys hearkening back to our 19th century roots, there will also be many contemporary performances scheduled throughout the day at the Athens Cultural Center, Athens Municipal Building, First Reformed Church and the Rivertown Senior Center.    more>

60th Annual Greens Show, Rensselaer County Historical Society, Troy: December 1-4: Enjoy a Troy holiday tradition when 12 rooms of the elegant 1827 Federal-style Hart-Cluett House are transformed into a unique holiday display.  Inspired by this year’s theme, The Fabulous Fifties, Van Rensselaer Garden Club members decorate the historic house with fresh trees, abundant flowers and lush greens. 34th Annual Victorian Stroll, downtown Troy:   December 4: Join in the merriment as the historic streets of downtown Troy transforms into a magical stage offering more than 100 free attractions, including the region’s top performers, ­musicians, dancers, magicians and storytellers.
