Altamont Vineyard & Winery is a small-batch production vineyard and winery in the northwest corner of Albany County. The vineyard, which overlooks the Helderberg Escarpment, is 15 acres of cold-hearty grape varieties, developed by leading universities for wine making. The tasting room provides samples of the wine and is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. or by appointment. Visitors can also picnic by the pond while enjoying their favorite bottle or glass of Altamont Vineyard & Winery wine. Tours of the vineyard and winery are available by appointment.
